These 8 newly qualified pilots and observers are at the start of an aviation career like no other, ready to test the cutting-edge capabilities of the Wildcat helicopter and themselves. 💪

The Guest of Honour Admiral George Zambellass GCB DSC ADC was delighted to present each sailor with their ‘Wings’ and well-deserved awards in front of invited family and friends.

The training tests aircrew’s skill, endurance and stamina to its limits. The Wings Parade marks the point when they can operate the Royal Navy’s Maritime Wildcat by day and night, over land and sea and in all weathers.

The ceremony ended with a fantastic display from the Black Cats Display team demonstrating the capability of the Wildcat helicopter. RNAS Yeovilton and all families are hugely proud of the newly qualified Wildcat aircrew and excited for their Fleet Air Arm careers ahead.

Well done to all who now join 815NAS ready for operational deployment across the globe. We look forward to your exciting Fleet Air Arm careers ahead.
