The Association has learned of the death of Sub Lt(A) David Roy ‘Bim’ Wells RNVR on 19 July 2014. David lived in Leicestershire and was a member of the East Midlands FOTM.

Bim was an Avenger pilot with 828 NAS on HMS Implacable in 1945.

Whilst flying Avenger JZ204 of 828 Squadron on 4 June 1945 the holdback broke early on catapulting, a/c went into the sea over starboard 4.5 inch guns HMS Implacable. S/L D R Wells & LA E Durnell OK.
Funeral Details
The funeral will take place at 10.45am on Wednesday 30th July at Gilroes Crematorium, Groby Road, Leicester, LE3 9QG.
