The Association has learned of the death of S/Lt(A) Robert (Bob) Clive Bovill RNVR on 22 January 2020.

Bob completed flying training in May 1944 in Canada (RCAF EFTS Goderich and RCAF SFTS Aylmer). He was appointed Mid(A) RNVR in May 1944 and in October that year was appointed to HMS Godwit as in instrument flying instructor. In December 1946 Bob was demobbed.
In 1949 he was appointed Lt(P) RCN on a 5 year Short Career Commission. Between 1952 – 1954 he saw service with 881 Squadron in HMCS Magnificent.
