Richard joined the Royal Navy in 1987 and served as a Junglie on 845, 846 and 848 NAS.
He saw service on Op Granby, Former Republic of Yugoslavia and Northern Ireland, as well as deployments to the Far East, USA and Clockwork.
He was selected for exchange as the RNLO at RMAS Sandhurst, where he spent two happy, but very busy years teaching baby Army Officers how to be Army Officers.
Richard left the RN in 2001, gained a MBA and worked in a number of business improvement/consultancy roles.
Now living in Burgundy, France, he plays the accordion (badly) and cycles (slowly). He is married to Caroline, a retired Commander in the QARNNS.
