The Association has learned of the death of Lt Samuel William Salway RN on 19 January 2018.

Sam served between 1948 – 1960.
As a Pilot he flew the Fairey Firefly with 820 NAS (1951 – 53) and 719 NAS (1953 – 55). He then served as AFDO of HMS Eagle (1955 – 57) before converting to rotary wing, where he served with 845 NAS (1957 – 59), ending his service with 848 NAS (1959 – 60).
