The Association has learned of the death of Lt Cdr Michael Harman Howland RN on 14 November 2014. He leaves a widow, Judith.

After gaining his Wings in 1951 Michael flew a wide variety of aircraft such as the Supermarine Attacker from 803 NAS embarked on HMS Eagle , the de Havilland Sea Vampire, the Hunting Percival Sea Prince and Hawker Hunter from the Station Flight Yeovilton and the de Havilland Sea Devon of 781 NAS Lee on Solent.
Other appointments included SGO to FONFT and Lt Cdr (F) at Yeovilton.
