The Association has learned of the death of Lt Cdr Alan Thomas ‘Snoopy’ Kennedy RN on 12 March 2019.

Kennedy Lt Cdr Alan Thomas, RN, (Snoopy) passed away peacefully in the Macmillan Unit, Christchurch, on 12th March 2019, aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Christine. Funeral Service at Bournemouth Crematorium (West Chapel) on Friday 29th March 2019, at 11.45 a.m. Family flowers only please. Alan was called Snoopy after the Peanuts character who used to howl at the full moon. Alan was known to do the same thing! He served with 849B Flight and was Senior Observer of 849D Flight.
In civilian life he was an Air Traffic Controller, working for a time at Stansted Airport, before becoming an instructor based at the ATC school in Bournemouth. He was a great beer drinker and rugby player and named his dog Charrington after the brewery.
