Whilst flying Sea Hornet VV437 of 809 Squadron, Culdrose on 28 November 1949 the aircraft crashed on landing after the port undercarriage failed to lock down.
Whilst flying Sea Fury WE804 of 804 Squadron, HMS Glory on 12 February 1952 the oil cooler was hit by small arms fire over Korea leading to a wheels up landing on mud flats Paengyong-do (Lt AA Knight rescued by ships helicopter).
Whilst flying Sea Venom XG620 of 809 Squadron on 8 September 1958 the aircraft collided with Sea Hawk XE402 over the sea during an Army co-op exercise and crashed off eastern Cyprus (L/C AA Knight & Lt D W Ashby parachuted safely).
