The Association has learned of the death of Lt Anthony Thomas Dunkerley (Tony) Brewster RN at home peacefully in his sleep on 19 August 2018.
The funeral took place at 1100 on Wednesday 29 August.

Tony served between 1959 – 1975 and is remembered as a Jungly Pilot and QHI who served with 848, 829, 705, 845 and 706 Naval Air Squadrons.

Whilst flying Westland Whirlwind XN359 of HMS Protector Flight on 10 January 1967, the engine failed after ingesting packed snow at 100ft, ditched 6m from the ship and turned over settling inverted. The fuselage less tailboom was recovered by Protector on the same day, Antarctic 63°47’S 60°5’W. Lt ATD Brewster & LA DJH Margetts rescued by XL898.
Whilst flying Westland Wasp XT426 of 706 Squadron Culdrose on 9 June 1971, the port roof escape hatch detached in flight and struck the main rotor, aircraft landed RAF St Mawgan. Lt ATD Brewster.
