After weeks of training, this year’s display routine of the @royalnavyblackcats team was enjoyed by Rear Admiral Anthony Rimington before signing their Public Display Authority.
They are now authorised to perform in front of those attending airshows throughout the year.
This year’s display pilots Lt Cdr Jim and Lt Cdr Tom have been hard at work, supported by the team of engineers, ensuring the routine exhibits the full capability and manoeuvrability of the Royal Navy’s attack helicopter.
Pilot Jim said “Tom and I are extremely proud to have had our display approved by RAdm Rimington today and receive our coveted black overalls. It’s been a great deal of hard work by the whole Maritime Aviation Strike to get the aircraft and aircrew ready and we are thoroughly looking forward to the display season ahead! “
