Huge congratulations today to Lieutenant Tamsyn Hood, pictured being presented with her ‘wings’ by the head of the Fleet Air Arm Rear Admiral Anthony Rimington.
An informal ceremony was held this morning in front of assembled aircrew in the hangar of 824 Naval Air Squadron.
Lt Hood is due to depart shortly for the Far East to join 820 Naval Air Squadron in HMS Prince of Wales and the carrier strike group on Operation Highmast.
Lt Hood was praised for her years’ of hard work and training to qualify as a frontline airborne surveillance and control observer in the Merlin Helicopter Force.
