The Association has learned of the death of Cdr Craig Alexander Robertson RN in July 2016.

Craig was a helicopter Observer who flew Whirlwind and Wessex.

In 1952 as a Leading Seaman, Craig embarked on HMS Newcastle for Korea and was away from the UK for two years. In 1969 he Commanded HMS Brereton stationed in the Gulf during this period. As Senior Observer of 819 NAS in 1973, the Squadron embarked on HMS Blake and in 1975 Craig became Commanding Officer 820 NAS also embarking on HMS Blake. Latterly he attended two Staff Courses, one at RNC Greenwich and the other at RAF Cranwell. His ended his career at ARE Portland before finally retiring from the RN in 1988.
Craig and Patricia met in 1956 when he was at St Angelo, Malta and Patricia was teaching at Tal Handaq RN School. They were married in 1958 with Craig sadly dying just one week before they celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.
